Elisabeth Moss (Offred)

A Golden Globe winner for her character as a detective in 2013 series, ‘Top Of The Lake’, Elisabeth Moss, had already made a mark in the industry before starring in this critically acclaimed series, ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’.  Starting with a memorable debut in the movie, ‘Girl, Interrupted’, later she moved on to act in the terrific show, ‘The West Wing’, as the president’s youngest daughter for seven seasons. It is believed that Moss’s acting truly came to light with her outstanding role in the TV Series ‘Mad Men’ as our favorite ‘Peggy Olsen’. This is until you watch the first episode of this series. She’s done a fantastic job embodying ‘Offred’ and her unflinching character works well in favour of the riveting series. It’s refreshing to see Alexis in a very different type of a role, and she has already taken up the challenge. In the series, her character might build on to become a rather important one given the mysterious nature of her persona.
